PURE SOUL WELLNESS SMOOTHIE RECIPES.

These smoothies are a great way to introduce increased amounts of nutrients and minerals into the body, are easy on the digestion and also support detoxing the body (as they are packed full of anti-oxidants).

These smoothies also  support:

  • reducing inflammation
  • regular bowel movements
  • lowering high blood pressure,
  • increased energy,
  • help to reduce fatigue, and
  • help to reduce sugar cravings.

Use organic where possible. Have a play with the amounts, start with 1 tablespoon, and increase to 2 if you feel your body needs it, or to adjust to the desired flavour.

A little tip I picked up on my recent trip to the Dharma Healing Centre is add a squeeze of lime to your smoothies! It will stimulate your liver to produce more enzymes and helps your body absorb more of the nutrients!

Option 1: Cacao & Berry Smoothie.

1/2 cup to 1 cup of mixed frozen berries.

1-2 tablespoons Goji berries.

1-2 heaped tablespoons of Hemp seeds*

Squirt of raw organic honey (optional) or Thai baby coconut water ½ cup.

1-2 kale leaves- stalks removed. Vary between steamed and raw.

1 teaspoon of Turmeric paste.

1-2 tablespoons of Hemp oil*

1 teaspoon Cacao powder.

1 teaspoon of Baobab powder.

1 teaspoon of Revive Superfoods -(eventually you can increase to 1 heaped teaspoon), or use your preferred Greens powder.

Spring water- just play with the amount and adjust for your palette preference…..

Blend until smooth.

Optional extras:

  • Aloe Vera Juice
  • 1/4 avocado
  • Probiotics - water kefir.

PSW tips:

  • You may need to soak your hemp seeds and goji’s overnight in spring water to soften and blend easier if you don’t have a powerful blender.

  • Don’t add the Revive, Cacao, Baobab powder or Hemp oil until everything else is blended up. Add it at the end and just wiz it for about an extra 10 seconds.

  • If you don't have all the ingredients, don't stress, start with what you do have and gradually add the extra ones in.

Option 2: Green Super Smoothie.

This is not a sweet smoothie, but it is refreshing, cleansing and gives me an energy boost every time!

1-2 inches cucumber. Fresh, green and alkalizing.

3-4 inches of celery plus leaves.

1-2 kale leaves, stalks removed. Vary between steamed and raw.

2 Tablespoons Hemp seeds*

1-2 Tablespoons Hemp oil* or coconut oil or both.

1 inch knob of fresh ginger.

1 teaspoon of Turmeric paste.

Splash of lemon juice or half fresh lemon squeezed.

1 teaspoon of Baobab powder.

1 teaspoon of Revive Superfoods- (eventually you can increase to 1 heaped teaspoon), or use your preferred Greens powder.

Spring water- just play with the amount and adjust for your palette preference…

Blend until smooth.

See the tips above for how to add your liquids and powders correctly.
